Grief therapy & support in Newton Abbot, Torquay, South Devon

Grief support and counselling in the Newton Abbot/Torbay/South Devon areas

The loss of a loved one ranks as one of the hardest knocks in life.  A loss is brutal in its utter finality.  How can the grief stricken be supported in their hour of greatest need?  Family and friends may be well meaning in their attempts to support but are likely suffering themselves.  Their attempts to help can be counterproductive; statements like: "You'll get over it soon enough". or "You need to move on" do more harm than good and leaves the sufferer feeling more hopeless and useless.

So how can counselling help?

TBC.

Hilda's funeral

The country church where she was born,
sacred stillness, only the trees sighing,
a yellow rose falls into the grave.
A teardrop falling into eternity.
